The narrative is a unique crossover between a game and a live-action film , where Dale finds himself trapped in two parallel universes and must solve increasingly bizarre puzzles to escape.

The paradox deepens as Dale interacts with different versions of his own mind: the Mind of the Past , Mind of the Present , and Mind of the Future . By swapping these "minds" inside a mannequin's head, he interacts with Mr Owl to obtain three vital cubes—wooden, iron, and glass.
