Kael began his life in Elnafets with a cane in his hand and a head full of memories he hadn't yet lived. He spent his "early" years sitting on a porch, speaking in riddles to the younger (older-looking) folk about the importance of forgetting.
In his final days, Kael was a small boy with scraped knees and a laugh that could chime like silver bells. He spent his time chasing butterflies that flew backward and splashing in puddles that dried up into clouds.
