Five years after the events of the first film, (Diesel) is a fugitive living in the Dominican Republic. When he learns that his girlfriend Letty Ortiz (Rodriguez) has been murdered, he returns to Los Angeles for revenge. His path crosses with Brian O'Conner (Walker), now an FBI agent hunting Mexican drug lord Arturo Braga .
