[s1e3] Webcam Apr 2026

This was Season 1, Episode 3 of his life—at least, that’s how the chat began to frame it. Elias wasn't a streamer. He was a freelance editor who valued his privacy, but a week ago, a persistent piece of malware had turned his workstation into a 24/7 reality show for an audience he couldn't see.

The screen went black. The only sound in the room was the rhythmic click-click-click of a mouse, even though Elias’s hands were shaking in his lap.

He’s looking at the door again. Watcher_9: Episode 3 is always where the protagonist realizes he’s not alone. VoidEye: Don't look behind the curtain, Elias.

He had tried everything: unplugging the USB, covering the lens with tape, even reinstalling the OS. But every time the clock hit 3:00 AM, the tape would be peeled back by an unseen hand, or the internal camera on his "unconnected" laptop would override the system.

The blue light of the monitor was the only thing keeping the shadows at bay in Elias’s studio. For the third night in a row, the "On Air" light of his webcam flickered to life without his permission.
