Set in an alternate Victorian Britain, the game follows the aftermath of an experiment by Baron Fortesque. After coming into possession of technology from a stranded time traveler, Fortesque created the , a sentient machine capable of warping space and time. Predictably, the machine went insane, assimilated its creator, and unleashed a horde of mutants and robots across the land.
