The movie concludes with the Perron family successfully escaping the haunted farmhouse, and the Warrens helping them to rebuild their lives. The film ends with a sense of closure, but also leaves room for a potential sequel, which would go on to become "The Conjuring 2" (2016).
As the hauntings escalate, the Warrens and the Perrons work together to uncover the root of the evil presence and to cleanse the house of the malevolent spirit.
